sarah an jake
here are two characters that i would love to use in something someday. their names are sarah and jake. jake is based off a drawing i did one day, (the kid in the tux) and sarah is based on a girl that goes to my church. one day she was singing and I started drawing her, and then i just kept going.

strips
jake and sarah's first adventure. this is just a rough... sorry.
Can I get your autograph?
i FINALLY finished it

here's another comic. it's about the gameshow survivor. i thought it was funny... you probably won't... my dad didn't. Oh well. this marks a milestone in the hamilton artistic career. this is my first ever totally computer generated image. i used my new crappy computer tablet to draw it. Everybody go ooh... ahhh. uugghh...

speed slasher
here's a character that I come back to every once in a while. i originally called him speed slasher... cuz he was fast and had a sword. i created him waaaaaay back when. this was back when i was sure i had to have a million characters of my own in order to make it big in the comic industry. i also thought they had to be unique and their names had to fit. how wrong was I? :) but anyways... here's some of my more modern impressions of him... i'll see if i can find some older drawings later. of course when i say modern... i mean way back in 99. now that may not have been that long ago for some of you... but that was a long time ago in my artistic career. however, i must admit, this is some of the best stuff I was producing back then.

gif animation
so i was sitting there watching "the nightmare before christmas", by tim burton, on dvd, and i was watching the documentary on how they made those films. They basically make a whole bunch of heads with different mouth positions and then stick em on when they want em. i then realized that this is the same concept that japanese animaters use. so I says to myself "self," says I "you could do that." and i says "i'm sure i could" so i took a shot of jake and used that basic concept, but it seems that all jake could think to do was ask for apple juice. check it out here... and then about ten minutes later, because i knew i could do better, i fixed the images, added some new mouths, and did a new animation. this time jake wonders what sarah's doing. you can see it here.

car wreck comic
i got in a pretty serious car accident about three days ago, friday 2-9-01, which totally sucked, but i'm using it to further my own creative needs. i'm trying to represent the crash through comic book expression. right now I just have some rough page sketches. i hope to have more later. hell, i hope to actually make this into a comic some day. wouldn't that be cool, tragedy turned into profit :)
anyways, there's the first eleven page roughs, and a sketch i did to allow myself to remember where the blood was on my jacket and pants. wierd, i know, but every little artistic reference helps, believe me.
